Wait, wait wait, they dance?!?!
Heck yeah! These ladies know how to wiggle after what their (royal) mama gave them.
Honeybees have evolved an extraordinary form of communication known as the ‘waggle’ dance. They even have a special dance floor (close to the entrance of the hive) to perform. Moving in a fluid ‘figure 8’ motion, a honeybee will communicate to her sisters the direction and amount of pollen/nectar available through the intensity and timing of her ‘waggles’ and fluttering of her wings. And while naturalists have known that bees dance for a very long time - even Aristotle had something to say about it - the ‘secret code’ of the dance itself was only deciphered in 1967 by Karl Von Frisch in a paper that would eventually earn him a noble prize!

These handmade earrings are made from laser cut acrylic and are available with hypo-allergenic stainless steel posts, as clip ons, or with a locally sourced sterling silver posts making them the perfect jewellery for sensitive ears.

This product is produced from an original design and is hand assembled, painted and finished. As a result, there may be slight variations from piece to piece, making each pair as special as their owner.
