Story behind the design
The Luna Moth (Actias luna) is one of nature’s most ethereal creations; a pale green silk-winged beauty that drifts through the night like living moonlight. Native to North America, these moths belong to the Saturniidae family, known for their large, eye-catching wings and velvety textures.
But a Luna Moth’s life is fleeting yet profound: they spend nearly a month as a hungry caterpillar before emerging from their cocoon into their final, luminous form. But their lives after that are brief, just a week. As adults, their sole purpose is to find love under the moonlight and continue the delicate cycle of life.
To many, the Luna Moth symbolises renewal, transformation, and the beauty of ephemeral moments — a gentle reminder that even the briefest lives can leave the brightest glow.
