And as the last crescent of the waning moon was slowly disappearing they both decided to keep the light going and GLOW-IN-THE-DARK. Story Behind the Design
The story of Félicette, the first and only feline to ever travel to space
On the 18th of October 1963 Félicette swished her long tail and elegantly boarded the Véronique AG1 rocket. She counted down the launch and flew over 150kms above the Earth. She briefly experienced weightlessness, travelled six times the speed of sound and licked through 9.5 g's of force. Fifteen minutes after take off, she safely and gracefully returned to Earth by parachuting down in her little space capsule — alive and well.
What wasn't so graceful though? The mad human scientist implanted electrodes onto her skull so they could monitor her neurological activity throughout the flight. They sent electrical impulses to her brain and leg during the flight to stimulate responses. Couldn't we just leave the cat to enjoy the view? I'm sure neither Bransen, Bezos nor Musk were getting any electric shocks on their space adventures!
The unsuspecting stray kitty lifted from the back alleys of Paris became a space cat celebrity. Unfortunately for Félicette, her fame has been dominated by the many dogs and monkeys that visited the space too.

This product is produced from an original design and is hand assembled, painted and finished. As a result, there may be slight variations from piece to piece, making each pair as special as their owner.
Products are wrapped in tissue paper and packaged in a DayNightDusk post box. If you are buying this product as a gift, a greeting card can be added to the order at check out.
