Story Behind the Design
Do black panthers exist in Australia? No, not really...but what if they do??
The crunch of dry foliage, the quiet snap of a twig, the unnerving feeling of being watched and the bush going quiet as soon as you look over your shoulder. The mystery of the Blue Mountains panthers prevails... For the past 20 years there have been more than 500 sightings of a giant and mysterious black cat. Many deny the existence of the big feline and are convinced it's just an superbly overgrown ferral cat. Some say it's real. But how do they know? They've seen it.
Here are some theories that might clear it up for you. The cat is a grandson of big cats brought over by the US soldiers during World War II. They used them as mascots and set them free when no longer needed - not very cool. Alternatively, it can be a relative of a feline escapee from a 19th century travelling circus. Or it's a runaway from a big cat black market...do we have an Aussie Tiger King going on here? I hope not!
Anyhow, what do you think? Is it all just smoke and mirrors?
