Drippy little honeycomb studs for when the big bees need a rest.
These cute earrings feature clear orange 'honey' dripping from a black as a bee honeycomb and are a perfect addition to your everyday wear. They also make an adorable gift for nature lovers and bee obsessed humans. Delight the apiarist within!
And of course, we couldn't resist placing them in a little bee comic - see if you can spot a picture of the Queen Bee on the wall ;D
Light-as-a-bee and great for sensitive ears, these honeycomb earrings are handmade in Australia, home of the unique blue bandit bee (yep, it has blue stripes!)
Story behind the design
Why are honeycombs hexagonal?
Using hexagons enables bees to make very efficient use of space whilst using as little wax as possible. They hold the maximum amount of honey, whilst ensuring no space is wasted.
In the words of Charles Darwin "[The honeycomb is] absolutely perfect in economizing labor and wax".
